Biography
Max Repetti is an Italian pianist, keyboard player, composer, and arranger, born on 28th June, 1970 in Piacenza.
After graduating from piano specialty at Giuseppe Nicolini Conservatory guided by Mr. Midori Kasahara, he moved to Paris where he continued his musical training studying jazz at C.I.M. École de jazz de Paris. In 1997 he went on tour with Alberto Garbelli (an Italian singer) to pay tribute to Charles Aznavour´s career by performing in the most significant French theaters.
From 2000 until 2004 he moved to Rouen, Normandy, where he taught piano, theory and solfège, and history of music.
Back to Italy, in 2004, he began a series of important artistic collaborations both at the didactic and concert level, including the founding of Artemusica, a music and arts school in Piacenza, in collaboration with Silvia Sesenna, where he is also the Principal of the school. He teaches piano, keyboards, and ensemble music at Artemusica.
He continued his training and he graduated from the Higher Biennium in Sound Technology at Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan, in 2011.
Among the most significant collaborations in the field of concerts during this period: he played the piano in Placentia Gospel Choir. Likewise, he played the keyboard in the Italian Gospel Choir (Italian National Gospel) and also for Melody Castellari (a singer) with whom he launched the album entitled “Ci sarà da correre” in the Italian theaters. He played the keyboard in the Spanish singer-actor Sergio Múñiz´s band from 2013 to 2016, he worked as an arranger with the English singer Greg Lake, founder membre of King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer.
He arranged the song “In my dream” by Jean Diarra for Level 49 (a record and production label) and he worked with singer Annie Barbazza as pianist and arranger to create the Moonchild duo. From this artistic project arose the tribute album in honor to Greg Lake´s career entitled “Moonchild”, produced by Greg Lake and Max Marchini for label Manticore Italy. This album was also launched in Piacenza, at G.Nicolini Conservatory (November, 2019) and at Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation Auditorium.
He played with Annie Barbazza during the awarding of the Honorary degree to Greg Lake at G. Nicolini Conservatory in Piacenza. As arranger, he worked in the concert of the singer Eugenio Finardi at the Municipal Theater of Piacenza.
In 2021 he participates as keyboard player for the recording project “Ambigram” for Manticore Italy. He is the author of the music of the songs “Siamo pagine” and “Oasi” by Martina Zoppi.
His first piano album with original compositions entitled “Pictures of Life” (Level 49) was released in 2016 and it was launched in Brazil at Josè de Alencar Theater in Fortaleza and at Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation Auditorium in Piacenza.
He released his second instrumental album for piano with original compositions entitled “Talk” in 2021, which was produced by Multiforce Publishing.
